A graveside service for Bertie Jenkins Smith, 82, of Hayes, was held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Rosewell Memorial Garden Cemetery, Ordinary. She died Saturday, July 6, 2013.

Mrs. Smith was a native of Gloucester County. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ira and Mary Jenkins, and her husband, Everett Smith.

Survivors include her daughter, Carolyn Haywood; son, Howard Smith; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, and brother, Junius Jenkins.

The service was conducted by the Rev. Dr. Richard Croxton.

Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point, was in charge.
