Bernice Hall Haywood, 83, of Hayes, died peacefully on May 9, 2012 at Walter Reed Convalescent and Rehabilitation Center, Gloucester. Mrs. Haywood was born on September 23, 1928 at Maryus, Va., a daughter of the late Rufus and Mary Haywood Hall. She was a member of New Life Ministry Center Church of God, a most devoted Christian and always evangelizing for Christ.

Mrs. Haywood will surely be missed by her family and many friends. She was loved by all.

She was also preceded in death by her brothers, John and Everett Hall; grandson Brian Haywood and step-grandson Randy West.

Mrs. Haywood is survived by her most caring husband of 66 years, Clarence Haywood; sons, Eugene Haywood and wife Ann, Dewayne Haywood and wife Anita, Anthony Haywood; grandson, Brandon Haywood and wife Jennifer; Step-grandson:   Nick Krikales and wife Linda; 3 great-granddaughters, Madison Almony, Emily and Audrey Haywood; 3 step-great grandchildren, Demetrius and Violet Krikales and         Crystal West; sisters, Ellen Ruth Higgins; Elva Lorraine Malkemus and husband Donald; brother, Bernard Hall and wife Evelyn; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services officiated by Reverend Wendell Gaffney were held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 12, 2012 at New Life Ministry Center Church of God, Hayes. Interment followed in Gloucester Point Cemetery. The family received friends Friday, May 11, 2012 from 7:00 until 8:30 p.m. at New Life Ministry Center Church of God.
