A funeral for Bernice Ann Phillips Lee, 96, of Bena, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Morning Star Baptist Church, Bena. She died Sunday, Oct. 16, 2011.

A lifelong resident of Gloucester County, she was born Feb. 20, 1915 to the late Silas and Alberta Johnson Phillips. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charlie C. Lee; six siblings and two children, Viola L. Foster and Waldron C. Lee. She was a member of First Morning Star Baptist Church for over 80 years and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include six children, Rose L. Lewis of Gloucester, Pernell C. Lee of Abbeville, La., Clarence P. Lee and Lawrence E. Lee, both of Hayes; Alberta L. Jackson of Philadelphia, Pa., and John E. Lee of Bena; 36 grandchildren; 67 great-grandchildren, and 33 great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at First Morning Star Baptist Church.
