Brian Belvin and Emily Webb were the top finishers in the 5K/One Mile Fun Run held Saturday at Gloucester High School. Hosted by the GHS fitness department, the event raised $1,600 to help establish a scholarship fund in the memory of former GHS teacher Joyce Bascombe who died in January.
Belvin finished the 5K course in 20:36 and also won the men’s 11-19 division. Webb had a time of 22:33 to lead all women and top the 20-29 division.
Other top male finishers included Austin Glockner with a time of 30:19 in the 10 and under division, Jonathan Shaffer with a time of 32:51 in the 30-39 division, Kent Laroque in 30:33 in the 40-49 division and Ed Oliphant in 27:33 in the 50 and over division.
Top female finishers were Kaylynn Glockner with a time of 30:29 in the 11-19 division, Michelle Green in 25:12 in the 30-39 division, Susan Sharp in 35:48 in the 40-49 division and Anna Zara in 46:22 in the 50 and older division.
