Teresa Rhodes writes: “My father Roy Coates (left) bought this rose for his mother over 50 years ago. It’s never been touched. My father bought his parents’ property after their house burned down many years ago. He was born on the same property in Severn 74 years ago. He lives there with his bride of 52 years, Shirley Coates. Shirley is pictured with her grandchildren, Alec and Brianna Douglas, and one of our new county deputies Seth Wells, boyfriend of Brianna Douglas.
