BC United Outreach will hold its second annual Back to School Block Party and Resource Fair from 2-6 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 17 at the Abingdon Ruritan Club building, Bena.
This event aims to support K-12 students in Gloucester, Middlesex, and Mathews counties as they prepare for the upcoming school year.
The block party, open to the entire community, promises a day full of fun and valuable resources. Students from kindergarten through 12th grade will receive free school supplies and backpacks to ensure they are well-equipped for the new academic year.
In addition to the distribution of school supplies, the event will feature a variety of entertainment options, including music, games, giveaways, bounce houses and food vendors, making it a perfect outing for families, a release stated. Resource vendors will also be present to provide valuable information and services.
