The Gloucester Board of Supervisors held its first meeting of the New Year on Tuesday night in the colonial courthouse. The agenda for the meeting included electing the chair and vice chair for the year. Members also discussed and approved the Rules of Procedure, Code of Ethics and Standards of Conduct.
At the meeting, Phillip Bazzani was unanimously voted as chair for 2020. Vice chair was chosen between Michael Winebarger and Kevin Smith. Winebarger received three votes to Smith’s four, resulting in Kevin Smith being elected vice chair.
The only changes made to the existing Rules of Procedures was a change of the meeting time. It was agreed that meetings and public hearings would now both start at 7 p.m., as opposed to the previous 6:30 start time.
