The Baystars U13 Swordfish youth soccer team finished the weekend with a 1-1 tie against Virginia Beach on April 13 and a 3-0 win against Suffolk the following day. Madalyn Grey scored the first and only goal the Virginia Beach game for the Gloucester team. Against Suffolk, Grey, Melanie Mueller and Mallory Bruno each scored while Skyler Collins had two assists and Grey added one. It was a complete team effort both days with excellent goalkeeping by Riley Gale. The team took on Smithfield at home this weekend in the rain, winning 5-1 with two goals each from Mueller and Charlotte Small, and one from Bruno.
