The Baystars U10 White Caps youth soccer team ventured to Williamsburg to play VA Legacy SC’s 2015 Peninsula Black team on Saturday. After falling to Legacy in the championship game of the Williamsburg Columbus Day Invitational tournament three weeks ago, the White Caps were eager for the rematch.
Both teams were undefeated in their TASL fall season play heading into the match. Starting strong, Donnie Wolford found the net, giving the White Caps an early lead. The White Caps never relinquished their lead with Wyatt Brockenbrough, Noah Ford and Fett Kutch all scoring as the team amassed a total of 20 attempted goals. Ryan Seay assisted on three goals while Brockenbrough marked one assist.
Keepers Triffon Luechauer and Wolford recorded six and one saved goals, respectively.With a final score of 4-1, the White Caps finished their regular fall season undefeated.
