Bay Transit, the public transportation division of Bay Aging, announced the three winners of its 2024 Bay Transit—Rappa-hannock Community College Scholarship in a ceremony held at the school’s Warsaw campus on April 15. This year’s recipients (who each received $700 scholarships) are Bay Transit Mechanic’s Assistant Trinity Puckett, who is continuing coursework in support of earning her Diesel Mechanic Certification; Bay Transit Dispatcher/Scheduler Kaitlyn Allen, who is taking biology and other prerequisite courses in pursuit of a diagnostic medical sonography degree; and Ava Oliff, granddaughter of Bay Transit bus operator Wayne Oliff, who is taking classes for a degree in graphic design.
