Bay Family Housing, a division of Bay Aging, recently relocated its office from Glenns to 390 Virginia Street in Urbanna.
Bay Family Housing offers many opportunities for people who own their homes and for those who have a desire to become homeowners, a release said, including indoor plumbing rehabilitation, emergency home repair, and weatherization assistance. In addition, the agency provides Department of Housing and Urban Development-certified housing counseling, first-time homebuyers education classes, foreclosure/loss mitigation counseling and financial literacy.
Bay Family Housing has also developed, and now manages, 10 senior apartment communities throughout the region, the release said, and the agency administers the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program for Gloucester, Mathews, Middlesex, King and Queen, King William, and Essex counties.
