Mr. Harry Armistead near Pepper Creek had the misfortune to lose his barn and stables with all of his fodder and tops. The barn took fire by some unknown cause, was not noticed until a late hour of the night. Mr. Armistead succeeded in getting his horse out just a few minutes before it fell in.Spot and hog fish are biting in both bays and the men and some of the women enjoy fine sport catching them.

From New Point: Mrs. Gilbert Hudgins still continues quite sick. Miss Ruth West of Peary visited Miss Kate Hudgins recently. Miss Mae Hudgins and little Evelyn Hudgins are on the sick list. Mr. and Mrs. Dallas Hudgins entertained a number of friends on Sunday last. Mr. Luther Hurst recently carried a crowd of young folks on a boat sail. Messrs. Sam Hutson, Tip West, Silas Hudgins, Delmar Preston, Sherman Ripley and Calvin Handy returned home Friday from Texas, ...
