Barbara Foster Brown, 69, of Newport News, was born on March 18, 1951 to Frederick and Nannie Foster of Port Haywood, Virginia, who preceded her in death.

Barbara entered eternal rest on Feb. 16, 2021 after a long illness.

She was a former employee of Farmers Bank of Mathews, Mathews, Virginia and of the Mathews, Middlesex, and Newport News Public School Systems (from which she retired).

She leaves to cherish her loving memory: daughter, Makeisha Foster of Hampton, Virginia; son, Darius Brown of Newport News, Virginia; granddaughter, Symone Brown of Newport News, two sisters, Pamela Bradley (John) and Freddie Faucett; nieces, nephews and a host of cousins, family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
