Barbara Ann Pearson, age 87, of Hayes, died at her home on Monday, February 19, 2024. Barbara was born on June 8, 1936 to the late George Cecil and Mildred King Thomas. She retired from Gloucester County Schools as a teacher’s assistant. Barbara is survived by her husband, Stephen Mitchem; sons, Randy Carmine, Bill Carmine (Melanie Hicks); stepdaughter, Melanie Danforth (Adrin McFerrin); stepson, Steve Mitchem (Jessica); aunt, Evelyn King; grandchildren, Alex Carmine, Stephen Danforth (Michelle), Justin Danforth (Haley), Tyler Danforth, Zachary Danforth, Jeremy Mitchem and Marisa Mitchem, and six great-grandchildren. The family received friends at Hogg Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, from 10-10:45 a.m., followed by a chapel service, beginning at 11, conducted by Pastor Nate Varnadore. Inurnment followed in Providence Baptist Church Cemetery.
