Gloucester High School senior Jazmine Banks placed second in the shot put with a personal best throw of 41’4¾" at the Virginia Tech High School Indoor Track and Field Invitational on Friday. The throw also qualified Banks for the Indoor National Championships at the Armory in New York in March.

Banks is now ranked first in the shot put among Virginia Group AAA girls and 17th in the U.S. among high school girls.
