Blessed Couples United Outreach, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, will hold its annual Scholarship Fundraiser and Year-End Review event, called the “Chucks & Tux Gala,” from 6-11 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 16, at the Abingdon Ruritan Club, 8784 Guinea Road, Hayes.
“This special evening will celebrate our community and the positive impact of our programs over the past year,” a release stated.
Throughout the year, Blessed Couples United Outreach has offered a variety of programs, including four college scholarships, a girls’ retreat, a Back-to-School Block Party and Community Resource Fair, spa days at local nursing homes and seminars on Medicare and personal finance.
Sponsors for B.C United include Gloucester Toyota, Sentara, Gloucester Community Foundation, and Anthem. As a highlight of the evening, one lucky attendee will win a brand-new 2024 Toyota Corolla, which will be raffled off during the event.
