B.C. United Outreach holds ‘Chucks and Tux’ gala

Blessed Couples (B.C.) United Outreach held its third annual scholarship fundraiser gala with a “Chucks and Tux” theme on Dec. 9 at the Abingdon Ruritan Club, Bena.
Everyone dressed in formal attire while wearing comfortable sneakers so they could dance to live music provided by Slapnation. Karen Todd of Woodbridge won the event’s chucks contest (referring to the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star sneakers).
B.C. United Outreach sponsors three scholarships to graduating seniors from Gloucester, Mathews and Middlesex high schools each year, as well as the Desiree D.
