Aviation group meets Jan. 16 in Topping

The Northern Neck-Middle Peninsula chapter of the Virginia Aeronautical Historical Society will meet on Thursday, Jan. 16, at the Pilot House Restaurant in Topping for its monthly buffet lunch meeting and presentation.
The program begins with a meet-and-greet at 11:30 a.m., followed by lunch at noon and the program at 12:30 p.m. The January meeting is the group’s annual personal aviation show and tell to allow members to share their treasures and tales. The group does not schedule a speaker for its January presentations due to dicey winter weather possibilities.
Everyone interested in aviation is invited to attend, and bring a friend. The group meets on the third Thursday of the month, where it holds presentations about current and historical civilian and military aviation and related topics.
The Pilot House Restaurant is located on Route 3 beside Hummel Field. For more information, email NelsonJody@verizon.net; include “VAHS” in the subject line.
