Auto Max of Gloucester held its fifth annual Trunk or Treat event on Friday at the car dealership on Route 17 in Hayes. This year’s event was also a birthday celebration for Bella Volpe, the daughter of Auto Max’s Joe Volpe, who turned six years old.
Friday’s Trunk or Treat event had its largest turnout with over 1,500 people in attendance. The Auto Max Trunk or Treat included a costume contest and a truck design, where 15 trunks were decorated and filled with candy.
Eight winners were chosen by Bella and her friends, each winning $100. Two winners for the trunk contest were picked by Deputy Miranda Murphy, where they also each won $100 each. Two 65-inch televisions were given away, one was from the raffle and the other was given to Kristine Montgomery, who donated the most canned goods, which Pruitt Automotive generously donated after collecting them.
Food was provided by Jeeps & Butts BBQ and Sal’s Pizza. Cupcakes were also given away for Bella’s birthday.
