Author of ‘Father Ed’ to speak at Kilmarnock Library

The Lancaster Community Library, 16 Town Center Drive, Kilmarnock, will hold a special Meet the Author event from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 9.
Dawn Eden Goldstein, author of “Father Ed: The True Story of Bill W’s Spiritual Sponsor,” will discuss her biography of Father Edward Dowling, S.J., who was a spiritual advisor to Bill Wilson, co-founder of Alcoholics Anonymous.
Goldstein will talk about the relationship between Bill Wilson and Fr. Ed and how Father Ed helped Wilson bring AA to international prominence.
Refreshments will be served and copies of “Father Ed” will be available for sale. The author will sign books after her presentation.
The author has penned several other books, including “The Thrill of the Chaste” and “My Peace I Give You: Healing Sexual Wounds with the Help of the Saints.” Together, her books have sold more than 50,000 copies worldwide in 10 languages.
