The 1781 British occupation of Yorktown will be explored from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 6, at York Hall in Yorktown as part of a daylong celebration of the 240th anniversary of the Revolutionary War in Virginia.
In addition to special exhibits at York Hall, there will be puppet shows, music, military displays, historic craft demonstrations, and British military living history throughout the town. In addition, the York County Market will be open from 8 a.m. to noon. The trolley will provide transportation throughout the town.

Folk Jam
The monthly Folk Jam will be held from 5:30-9 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 10, at the Watermen’s Museum, 309 Water Street, Yorktown.
