Auditions to be held Jan. 7 for ‘Bus Stop’

Auditions for the Court House Players’ first 2018 production, “Bus Stop,” will be held from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 7, at Ware Episcopal Church parish house on John Clayton Memorial Highway in Gloucester.
Four men of indeterminate age are needed, along with a man in his early 20s. There are three women’s parts—an older lady, a woman in her early 20s, and a teenage high school girl.
It’s an ensemble cast; there are no walk-ons. Rehearsals are Monday, Wednesday and Friday until the end of February, when some weekends will be added. The show is directed by Anita Minuth.
“Bus Stop” is set on a cold and stormy night at a rural restaurant and bus stop, when out of the blizzard comes a bizarre cast of characters: a couple of cowboys fresh from a rodeo triumph, a boozy professor, a nightclub singer of questionable innocence, the local sheriff, and denizens of the restaurant round out a comedy/drama.
