Express Auctioneers & Appraisers has been donating its professional services for a number of years, with a slew of fundraising auctions on the immediate horizon.

Linda Makowski, who owns the business with her husband Larry, said that through the years Express Auctioneers has raised millions of dollars to benefit charitable and non-profit organizations. And she hopes to raise a lot more in 2012 as the company has decided to hold six auctions, gratis to the sponsoring organizations, this year.

Today, Express will conduct an auction for Friends of the NRA at Crowne Plaza Hotel in Hampton. This Saturday, it will conduct the auction for the Mathews Family YMCA annual’s BBQ Bash at Kingston Plantation.

Next Saturday, Express will conduct an auction at the Ocean City (Md.) Convention Center to benefit Special Olympics.

In June, auctions will be held on the 9th to benefit the "Riverball VII" in Mathews and on the 23rd at the "Arts and More" event at the ...
