Starting last Tuesday and continuing through Nov. 15, Gloucester’s Atlantic Union Bank (6720 Sutton Road) is accepting donations of non-perishable foods to benefit the Virginia Peninsula Food Bank.
Those planning to drop off contributions are asked not to donate glass containers.
“Food insecurity affects millions of American families, and many of those impacted aren’t a faraway statistic. They’re right here in our communities,” said Nathalia Artus, Head of Community Impact at Atlantic Union Bank. “We’re proud to do our part by coordinating this food drive and rallying our communities to donate and make a difference for their neighbors in need.”
All donations made at Atlantic Union Bank locations will directly support the community and food security for local residents needing assistance.
Donation boxes will be available at all Atlantic Union Bank locations during business hours. To find a location near you, visit the bank’s location’s webpage.
