Ashley Nicole Thomas, 24, of Hayes, was called to her heavenly home on Dec. 17, 2016.

She had an infinite desire to show compassion to everyone she knew by sharing her infectious smile that brightened the world around her. Ashley loved creating beautiful things for people to enjoy that ranged from arts and crafts to her photographs. The love Ashley had for her friends and family was immeasurable and a true blessing shared by everyone who knew her. She will be missed but the light that she left in the world will live on forever. 

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Myrtle and Malvin Belvin; her “Grammies,” Joyce Croxton and great- grandmother, Frances Daniels. 

Ashley is survived by her fiancé, Brandon Sweat; mother, Gladys Belvin; father, John Wayne Thomas; sister, Jessica Lassiter (Joseph); brother, Daniel Thomas (Haylee); grandparents, Gene and Teresa Thomas, and her faithful dog, Foxxy.

Funeral service conducted by Pastor Frank Boyd was held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2016, at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point. Interment followed in Gloucester Point Cemetery. The family received friends from 7-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2016, at the funeral home.
