As busy as a hen with one chicken

The people in the New Point section of the county are as busy as a hen with one chicken, as the proverb goes, getting their nets ready for fishing. It is time they were getting them down. Spring has come with her carpet of green. I hope, and so do right many, that she will not be as wet as last spring.
Mr. and Mrs. Morris Hudgins welcomed a little baby girl into their home last Saturday night.
Mr. and Mrs. James Haywood are the proud parents of twin boys, which made their appearance last week.
The public schools of this district have two months before the session is over and I expect the majority of the school children are not sorry a bit. —Sweet Sixteen

In news from Laban, last Friday Miss Sue Diggs left for Norfolk, where she will spend some time with her sister, Mrs. Hewitt.
Mrs. Kate Knight is suffering from a severe attack of indigestion this week.
