Arts on Main will host the opening of its 2023 Annual Juried Exhibition from 6-8 p.m. this Friday during First Friday at the gallery on Main Street in Gloucester. It is free and open to the public.
Live music will be provided by Clan MacCool, a highly interactive band that specializes in Irish/Scottish traditional music, along with “occasional piracy and constant fun,” said a press release.
Light refreshments will be provided, and beer and wine will be available for purchase.
The juror for the exhibition is Christopher B. Wagner, a sculptor originally from Kentucky who now lives in Williamsburg and works at the College of William and Mary.
Wagner received a B.A. in art history and sculpture from Georgetown College and an MFA in sculpture from Edinboro University. He has traveled the country, creating, exhibiting, and winning awards with his unique figurative wood carvings, said the release.
