Arts on Main in Gloucester received a $15,000 check from the Cook Foundation at a ceremony on Aug. 26, marking the successful completion of the art group’s campaign to raise matching funds from loyal patrons and benefactors in 2018-19.
Arts on Main and the Cook Foundation also announced that an additional $15,000 challenge has been issued for the coming year.
“We are thrilled to continue and strengthen our association with the Cook Foundation and the community” said Arts on Main Board Chairman Lynne Manning.
Arts on Main’s collaboration with the Cook Foundation has been transformative for the young organization, said a press release. The foundation’s support has allowed Arts on Main to mature from a volunteer-led, start-up organization to a thriving art center serving the community with exhibits, performances, and classes—a place for the arts to flourish.
