The Heart of the River Open Studio Tour, a Gloucester Arts Festival event, will be held from 3-7 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, June 16 and 17, at seven artists’ studios in Gloucester.
The self-guided tour is free and open to the public.
Those participating will have an opportunity to visit the studios, meet the artists, and gain insight into their vision and techniques. The artists will have work for sale, and some will be doing demonstrations.
Studios on the tour are:
Carolyn Thompson Dudley, a plein air painter and former art therapist who works in oils, creating pieces that include landscapes, seascapes, florals, portraits, and more.
Karyn Gallion Arts, concentrating on “quirky flights-of-fancy inspired by our blue planet,” including mechanical sculptures, fish sculptures, and paintings.
