Among those attending Sunday’s open house at the Cobbs Creek Arts Center Open House in Mathews were, from left, Ken McWilliams, Mary Jane Zander of Cobbs Creek and Ula Ilnytzky of Mathews. The facility’s owner, Josie Thorpe, said the event was very well attended, and that she got a good feel for how much interest might exist in the arts community for new studio and performance space.
