Arts on Main in Gloucester has issued a call for submissions for its 2021 Annual Juried Show, to be held Oct. 1-30.
The show carries a first-place prize of $1,000 and a future solo show at the gallery on Main Street. Second place is $500, and third place is $250.
The final submission deadline for the show is midnight on Friday, Aug. 17. Original works in any medium, both 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional, will be accepted, with no size or subject constraints.
The cost to enter is $35. Notification of acceptance will be mailed on Sept. 6.
The juror and judge for this year’s show is Jeffrey Allison, Paul Mellon Collector Educator and Statewide Manager at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts.
All entries will be juried in digital format. They will be accepted in jpg, with a file size no less than 500K and no more than 2MB. They should be clearly labeled with last initial, first initial and title, and emailed to director@gloucesterarts.org.
