The Bay School Community Arts Center’s featured artist of the month is painter Eddie Thiel. His work is on display throughout September in the Art Speaks Gallery, 279 Main Street, Mathews. About 20 years ago, Thiel began painting seriously, starting out with still life, then portraiture, then western scenes. Now, “he’s completely focused on painting cars,” said a press release. Thiel’s parents inspired him on his artistic journey. His father taught him about cars, and his artist mother “inspires him daily,” said the release.
