Bart Levy, shown at right, is the featured artist for the month of July at the Bay School Community Arts Center in Mathews. Levy said she believes that the natural world can bring solace and peace into people’s lives. Her paintings capture those feelings and speak to the heart of beauty found in the landscape. The artist was born in Virginia, raised in North Carolina, and currently resides in Virginia. She finds inspirations from the South in her landscapes, lush summer flowers, and the peaceful sense of home. Her paintings can be seen in the Art Speaks Gallery at 279 Main Street.
