An Autumn Artisan Market will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Bay School Community Arts Center, Main Street, Mathews.
A number of items will be available for purchase at various artisan booths, including pottery by Clay by the Bay and Doris Hackworth, photo gifts by Tammy Faulkner, and glass art by Rita Cutler. There will also be paintings by folk artist Virginia Coyle, metal sculptures by Pat Andrews, the Retro Den art of Tim Dooley, wood items by Garrett Jones, and Painting with Praise by Jenny Briggs.
In addition, the Mathews Farmers’ Market will be open that day from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., featuring vendors with edible goods and handmade wares.
Saturday is also the opening date for the Bay School’s Old to New show, featuring artwork that incorporates reused, recycled or up-cycled components. The exhibit runs through Oct. 27.
October’s Artist of the Month, Nancy McGuffie, is a photographer with a unique interest in abandoned buildings. Her works will be on display.
