Artful food on artful dishes

It’s the 20th anniversary for the Bay School Community Arts Center in Mathews in this Chinese year of the rooster, which gives its staff the opportunity and privilege to “crow” about their accomplishments over these two decades. In the world of love it’s the year of the gem stone emerald, the flower daylily and the color emerald green, all of which might be present when the Art Speaks on the Bay Juried Art Show opens on Saturday, May 6.
This event, being held for the fifth year, will feature entries of 84 artists from all over the state vying for $5,000 in prizes.
Opening ceremonies will feature a gourmet delight with beverages, beginning at 4 p.m.
