Ellie Armistead has joined the Admission Office team at Christchurch School.
Originally from Mathews, Armistead graduated from Mathews High School in 2020, then attended the University of Georgia on a full softball scholarship. At UGA, she started all four years at shortstop, was an honor roll student, and was in the Leadership Program.
Armistead will reunite with her Mathews High School coach, Robert Thomas, on the Christchurch diamond next spring. Thomas coached at Mathews High School from 1997 to 2018, leading the team to 12 district championships and the VHSL State Championship in 2017. He started the Christchurch program in the spring of 2024. Under Thomas, the Seahorses finished the regular season ranked #4 in the Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association Division II and advanced to the state championship semifinals.
