Arlene Adams, 70, of Mathews, Va., passed away at home surrounded by her family on Aug. 15, 2012, after a long battle with cancer.

Arlene was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many. The things she loved the most in life were her family gatherings and cooking for all.

She is survived by her children, Michael Hall (Dianne), Kevin Hall (Susan), Ginger Case (Marty) and Ava Adams; grandchildren, Mallory Hall, Emily Case, Trenton Hall and Carrie Atherton. She is also survived by several sisters, a brother, and many other family members and friends.

There will be a private family memorial service to celebrate the life of Arlene, along with her husband, Paul, of 34 years, at a later date.

The family is requesting that in lieu of flowers please make donations to the Riverside Hospice Help Fund, 7358 Main Street, Gloucester, Va. 23061.
