The Piankatank Community League, Harcum, held its semi-annual Volunteer Fire and Rescue Squad Appreciation Dinner on Monday, Aug. 7. This has been a long-standing tradition of the organization and provides an opportunity for the Harcum community to show its gratitude for the lifesaving efforts of the volunteers. Fried chicken, ham, ribs, dinner rolls, side dishes, desserts and beverages are donated by PCL members and neighbors. Community volunteers also arranged tables, served food and cleaned up after dinner. A line of emergency services volunteers is shown here filling their plates.
