The application period for Dominion Energy’s environmental grant is open.
Nonprofits and educational organizations in the company’s service areas including those in Virginia and North Carolina are encouraged to apply, a release said.
Eligible groups can earn up to $50,000 to support projects to improve the environment. Public and private K-12 schools can also apply for grants up to $5,000 for environmental education programs.
The deadline is 5 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 30.
Since 2003, the Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation has awarded nearly $40 million to projects that protect and improve the environment.
Company leaders say these grants are a part of Dominion Energy’s efforts to improve the environment and provide educational experiences in the communities it serves.
