Applications are now being accepted for the annual Mathews Market Days Poster Contest. All ages and levels of expertise are encouraged to participate. Contestants do not have to be Mathews residents.
Participants are requested to create a piece of art that showcases Mathews County’s creative community and that can be made into a limited edition collectable art print. This year’s theme is “Mathews: The Pearl of the Chesapeake.” The prize for the winning entry is $600.
All media are accepted, including watercolor, oil, acrylic, photography, collages, mixed media, and more. The finished piece must be 18” x 24” vertical or horizontal and must be framed, with an entry form attached to the back.
The cost to enter is $25 for each entry. There is no limit on the number of entries each person may submit. A photograph of the artwork must be submitted with the entry form.
