APPLE-CRANBERRY CRUMB PIE

Filling
1 medium apple (Northern Spy)
1¾ c. cranberries
½ c. pecans
2/3 c. sugar
6 Tbs. water
Topping
½ c. brown sugar
½ c. oleo
1 c. flour
Coarsely grind apple and berries together. Stir in nuts and pour into 9-inch pie pan. Sprinkle sugar and water over mixture. Blend topping ingredients with pastry blender. Spoon evenly over filling. Bake at 350°F. for about 45 minutes. May use 6 apples and no cranberries for an apple pie.

3-5 large cooking apples
1 c. sugar
½ c. plus 2 Tbs. flour
½ tsp. nutmeg
½ tsp. cinnamon
2 Tbs. lemon juice
½ c. butter
9-inch pastry shell
Peel, core and quarter apples; halve each quarter and place in a bowl. Combine ½ c. sugar, 2 Tbs. flour, nutmeg and cinnamon in a cup; sprinkle over apples. Toss to coat well. Spoon into pastry shell. Drizzle lemon juice over apples. Combine remaining ...
