Anthony “Tony” James Reis Hecke, 42, of Saluda, died Saturday, April 12, 2014, at his home.

Tony was born in California and grew up in the Buckroe Beach area of Hampton, Va. He was a drywall hanger with February Drywall Company for the last 20 years. Tony loved the beach, fishing, riding his Harley motorcycle, and was a good friend to everyone. 

He is survived by his daughter, Krystal Hecke; grandson, Christopher “C.J.” Hecke; parents, Don and Joyce Hecke; sister, Deborah Smith (Bruce); brother,  Ernie “Al” (Sheryl); sister, Darlene Hecke (Ted); his longtime companion, Brenda Cauley; his boss, John February; best friends, Frank February and Steven February, and a host of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, 2014, at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point. Inurnment was private.
