A celebration of life service will be held for Anna Marie Thornton, 98, of Bowling Green, at noon on Saturday, Sept. 27 in First Mount Zion Baptist Church, Bowling Green. She died Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2014.

She was the widow of Thurston G. Thornton Sr., a Gloucester native.

Visitation will be held from noon-4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 26, at C.W. Edwards Funeral Home, Inc., Bowling Green. A Christian wake will be held from 6-8 p.m. at First Mount Zion Baptist Church and one hour before the service at the church on Saturday.

Interment will be in Mount Lawn Cemetery, Woodford.
