Southwind Pizza, Mathews, will host its Animal Jam fundraiser from 1-5 p.m. on Saturday, April 6. The event, which features an open mic, community jam karaoke and a band to be announced, will benefit the Gloucester-Mathews Humane Society. The last time Southwind Pizza hosted the event was in 2011 and “we took truckloads of food and money to the shelter,” said Jon Ober, one of the event organizers.
