Troy M. Andersen, 45, has announced his reelection campaign for the Gloucester Point seat on the Gloucester School Board.
If reelected, Andersen said he intends to continue his focus on helping grow Gloucester County Public Schools’ career and technical education programs to ensure the district is creating students that are college or career ready.
Additionally, Andersen said he will work diligently to attract and retain top quality teachers, administrators and support staff by focusing on maintaining GCPS as a great employer to work for and continue to work collaboratively with all stakeholders to help steer the division to greatness.
Challenges Andersen expects for the next few years will be similar to previous years, including that competing budget priorities limit opportunities for major changes and additions to the division’s educational programs. Andersen said the board will continue to seek alternative funding opportunities as they arise.
