Alvin Kenneth Burrell Sr., 68, of Gloucester, died on Friday, April 5, 2024. He was a native of Gloucester and a veteran of the United States Army.

Survivors include his wife, Dianne M. Burrell; children, Charisma Frazier (Darrin), Amy Files and Alvin Burrell Jr. (Tiffany); brothers, Albert Leroy Burrell and Larry Burrell; sister, Joyce Brittingham; grandchildren, Nanae, A.J., Alashia, Shawn, Isaiaah, J’naya Files and Jasmine Files; great-grandchild, Zay’vion Cunningham; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Sarah Evans Burrell Sr., and his brother, William Burrell Jr. A service of remembrance was held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday in Howard Funeral Home Chapel, Ark. Burial with military rites followed in Gloucester Field Cemetery.
