A funeral service for Alvera V. Griffin of Gloucester, will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Union Zion Baptist Church, Ware Neck. She died Monday, April 14, 2014.

She was a native of Gloucester County and a member of Union Zion Baptist Church. She had served as organist for many local churches.

Survivors include two brothers, Arthur Griffin of Albany, N.Y., and Christopher Griffin of Hampton.

Viewing will be at the church from noon until service on Tuesday. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
