Alonza L. Clayborne, 72, of Gloucester, died on Sunday, Jan. 21, 2024.

He was a native of Gloucester County and a member of Zion Poplars Baptist Church.

Survivors include brothers, Calvin, George and Herbert Clayborne; sisters, Lottie Robinson, Susie Clark, Joyce Clayborne, Esther Whiting and Barbara Dennis.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Priest and Ruth Walker Clayborne, and siblings, William, Walter, Arthur, Richard, Robert, Laura and Emma.

A funeral will be held at noon Friday, Feb. 2, 2024, in Zion Poplars Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Clayborne may be viewed from 11 a.m. until service time.
