Alma Faye Riffe of Gloucester, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Feb. 29, 2012.
She was born in McDowell County, W.Va., to George Bradley and Virgie Bradley, and was preceded in death by her parents along with three brothers, George Jr., Raymond, Calvin; three sisters, Evelyn, Eula, Charlotte, and one grandson, Jonathan W. Riffe.
She is survived by her loving husband, Elmer Riffe; three sons, Michael Riffe and his wife Annette, Jeffrey Riffe, Virgil Riffe and his wife Kay; four grandchildren, Patricia Walker and her husband Jim, Chris Riffe and his wife Bitsy, Jason Riffe and his wife Ginger, and Alexandria Riffe; and two very lovable great-grandchildren Lilly and Brendan Riffe.
She was truly loved by Gloria Riffe, Mannie and Fredi Branch, Bob and Cecil Crumpler who were so special to her. She will be missed by so many special and devoted nephews and nieces and their families. She will be missed by a lot of true friends from her church, Petsworth Baptist Church. Truly a special lady, along with Elmer, they were always there to lend a helping hand to anyone in need, proving how gracious and kind she was.
The family received friends at the funeral home on Saturday, March 3, 2012, from 5-6:30 p.m. Funeral services were held on Sunday at 2 p.m. in Petsworth Baptist Church by Pastor Clinton Miller. Burial was in the church cemetery.
