Allen D. Haywood Sr., 74, of Shadow, Va., passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2023. He leaves to cherish his memory his two sons, Allen Jr. and Patrick, and a grandson, Aiden. He is also survived by two brothers, Gene and John, and a sister, Kay, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Allen spent his life working the local waterways and was very proud of this. He was infamous for playing pranks on family members and rarely missed an opportunity to try to outdo himself when possible.

A graveside service will be held at St. Paul Cemetery, Susan, Va., on July 1, 2023 at 2:30 p.m.
